OWCC Gravel Weekend
This is a two-day gravel cycling adventure. On day one you will start from the Panmure carpool parking lot on Panmure road. The first day is approximately 100km and ends in Calabogie. The route takes in some iconic roads including the California and Darling Roads in Lanark County.
On day two you will ride a different route back to the start location at the Panmure carpool lot. The second day is approximately 80km and takes in the challenging Carbine Road Climb, Hydrocut and Concession 9th unmaintained sections.
Accommodation is arranged by the OWCC at the Calabogie Lodge. You need to pay for your accommodation and dinner/breakfast at the Calabogie Lodge. Snacks and support during the ride is provided by the OWCC.
Routes will be posted and we expect you to download these routes to your cycling computer.
This weekend is for people comfortable riding on gravel (you have done so in the past) and who are prepared to ride 75 – 100 km per day.
The Gravel Weekend is June 22 – 23.
OWCC Cyclocross Clinics
There will be two cyclocross clinics in late August/early September. Both of these clinics will be held in Osgoode.
- New to cyclocross clinic: learn how to dismount/mount the bike, barrier technique, cornering, and bike confidence. This clinic will be on flat grass. Maximum five people.
- Next steps cyclocross skills clinic: off-cambers, carrying speed through corners, reading a course, and bike confidence. This clinic will start on flat grass and then move to the woods. Maximum five people.
As we get closer to cyclocross season, the CycleClub App will be updated with the clinic details, dates, and time.
