Registration for the 2024 season is now closed.

As a not-for-profit incorporated club affiliated with the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA), all OWCC members are required to have:

Note that the OWCC club fee pays for insurance with the OCA and covers the incidental costs of running a not-for-profit incorporated club.

Participation in club rides and events is limited to women who have purchased an OCA or FQSC membership/license and paid the club membership fee.

Please note that Quebec residents need to purchase an FQSC UCI license or an OCA membership to join the OWCC.

What Happens After I Join the OWCC?

Once you join the OWCC, the following happens:

  1. You will receive a welcome email from Jen and Vicki. Please read the documents attached to the email. This includes the OWCC Rider Guidelines and the OWCC Risk Management Plan.
  2. You will receive an invite to join our private Facebook group. We use this group to talk about rides, plan rides, share photos, and to connect.
  3. You will receive an invite to join the CycleClub App. We use this app to manage our group rides. All group rides details are posted in this app. You need to confirm your attendance to a ride with the CycleClub App and download the route map. Note: if you prefer you can use the desktop version at cycleclubapp.com.
  4. You’re ready to participate in the rides, clinics, or events you signed up for doing registration. Feel free to post on the Facebook group page introducing yourself, join an organized ride, and post about a ride you would like to do with others.

While we do host organized group rides we wholeheartedly encourage our members to self-organize rides as well.

If there is a ride you want to do but don’t see it listed there are a couple of options:

  • You can volunteer to lead the ride (contact Vicki or Jen) and we’ll get it sanctioned by the OCA and added to the CycleClub App
  • You can post about a ride on the Facebook page and invite others to join you (this type of ride is not covered by OCA insurance).
