Registration for the 2026 season is coming soon!
Membership & Fees
The OWCC offers our programs in affiliation with Ontario Cycling (OC), which oversees the sport of cycling in Ontario.
All OWCC members are required to hold a membership with OC or a FQSC license and be over the age of 18 in order to participate on rides. If you live in Quebec, you can purchase either a OC or FQSC Membership.
The cost of your membership varies depending on which program(s) you choose to participate in for the season.
If it’s your first season riding with a group, we strongly recommend taking the Bike Handling & Group Riding Clinic.
If it’s been a while since you’ve done a group ride, or you want a refresher, we recommend signing up for the Refresher Group Riding Clinic.
You can also take a quick Group Riding Self-Assessment if you’re still not sure.

Participation Requirements
Helmet
Safety first. When participating on our rides, all riders must wear a helmet.
Drop Bar Bike
To participate on rides, you are required to use a bike with drop bars a.k.a. “curly bars” for safety. These handlebars are typically found on road, cyclocross, and gravel bikes.
What Happens After I Join?
Once you join the OWCC, the following happens:
- You will receive a welcome email
Review the contents of the email; it will provide you with details on how to join rides, upcoming activities, and more. - You will receive an invite to join the Cyql app
We use this app to manage our group rides. All group rides details are posted in this app. You need to confirm your attendance to a ride with the app and download the route map. - You’re ready to participate in the rides, clinics, or events you signed up for during registration
Find a ride in the Cyql app, or if you’ve completed Ride Leader Training post about a ride you would like to do with others!
More Info
Help! I didn’t get an email.
If you’ve registered and haven’t received a welcome email, double-check your Spam or Junk folder.
Contact us if you’re still having difficulties after doing this.
I’m not finding any rides that are near me/during the time I want/starting where I want!
If there is a ride you want to do but don’t see it listed there are a couple of options:
- You can volunteer to lead the ride (contact us) and we’ll get it sanctioned by the OC and added to Cyql
- You can post about a ride outside of the Cyql app, and invite others to join you. This type of ride is not covered by OC insurance.
While we do host organized group rides, we wholeheartedly encourage our members to self-organize rides as well!
